My first entry
Just thinking about how everyone here in portland is snowed in right now, and in 16 days, I'm going to be sweltering in Rio. I know I should be getting ready, because at 1am the the day before I leave, I will be cursing my laziness. Oh well.
About Me

- I work all year to go to Rio. I play chocalho and caixa in the Lions of Batucada in portland, and started my own all female brazilian music and dance group, SambaGata, also in Portland. With the Gatas, I play caixa and am the Musical/Creative/Dance director. I teach samba no pé twice a week in portland and LOVE teaching what I've learned each time I go to brazil. I do an intensive study of samba dance as well as parade with grupos de acesso as a musician while I'm there.
